Archie – Poet Walker (retired)

Archie has been a poet walker since puppyhood. He took his first walk with a poet back in the winter of 2012 when he hopped and skipped along with Keats from The Mill House, in Old Bedhampton (where Keats stayed in the winter of 1819) along the coast to Emsworth.

Archie Kay (April 2009 - July 2024) After fifteen years with us, our wonderful Archie is now jumping in the barley field in the sky. He will be forever in our hearts.

Fliss – Tutor and Poet Walker

Fliss – Tutor and Poet Walker

Fliss’ career as a poet walker began on a bright winter morning in November 2012 when she first discovered that Keats had lived at The Mill House in Old Bedhampton. A real life Romantic Poet had lived just a few yards away! Separated by nearly two hundred years they might be, but they were united by place, and place is hugely important in poetry land. Ask anybody! Suffice it to say, Keats living just a few yards from her house went to Fliss’ head a bit, and since then she has walked with Keats, hiked with Coleridge, bathed with Byron and gone sightseeing with Shelley.
